About Me.

Software Engineer, Game Developer & Designer

I first started game development all the way back in 2008 at 12 years old. It all began in Java, and after spending many hours/years learning the syntax and getting a decent understanding of Java.

I grew up in Christchurch and attended St Andrew's College, where I honed my programming skills and was honored with the St Andrew's College Digital Technology Award in 2014. During my time there, I achieved an Excellence endorsement in Digital Technology, as well as Merit endorsements in Physical Education, Statistical Mathematics, and overall for Level 3 NCEA.

I initially pursued a Software Engineering degree at the University of Canterbury. However, I found the course lacked some of the elements I considered essential for becoming a well-rounded programmer. This ultimately resulted in me moving to Auckland to attend the Media Design School, which offered a Software Engineering degree that solely focused on development in C++ and allowed us to utilize either Unity or Unreal Engine and granted full access to Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) PS4 Dev Kits and proprietary libraries used by in-house SCE studios for game development, offering a unique and hands-on learning experience.

I have worked with a wide range of technology stacks, leveraging GIT for version control and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
